Mo Farah once again proved too strong for East Africans when he ran a blistering last lap of 52.6 seconds to sprint away to 5,000m gold in Beijing.

Kenya’s Caleb Ndiku won silver and Ethiopia’s Hagos Gebrhiwet took bronze from his compatriot Yomif Kejelcha.

This was Mo Farah’s third successful world 5,000 m titles, both in Olympics and World Championships.

The race was generally slow with Nduku leading most of the laps until he was beaten in the second last lap where Mo Farah beat him mercilessly.

Today’s win was his seventh title; other titles include 5,000m at the 2011 world championships and 5,000 and 10,000 metres in the 2012 London Olympics .He also won both races in 2013 Moscow world championships.
