Harambee stars suffered a major defeat on Sunday at Nyayo National Stadium after succumbing to a 1-2 loss to visitors Zambia.
Harambee Stars were the first to score through Michael Olunga in the 12th minute, Zambia equalized in the 30th minute through Kalengo while Mbesuma scored the second and winning goal for Chipolopolo.
Sunday’s defeat puts Kenya in an awkward position in the qualifications to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations competition; they are currently third in their group.
On Friday Football Federation of Kenya had promised to reward Harambee Stars players Ksh 1million if they defeated Zambia.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga attended the game to drum up support for the team,unfortunately his favourite team lost.
