Barclays Premier League leaders Manchester suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday against a defiant West Ham United side.

Goals from Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho in first half got West Ham United off to a flying start at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City new signing Kevin De Bruyne’s goal was not enough to earn Manuel Pellegrini’s men a point.

City dominated second half, missing several clear chances but Hammers goalkeeper Adrian was in outstanding form and refused to allow the ball touch the net twice.

The ever in form Sergio Aguero looked frustrated throughout the match after missing two clear chances in first half, while Jesus Navas, who replaced City’s playmaker David Silva, was not convincing enough.

West Ham United stunned Arsenal 2-0 on August 9 and yesterday’s win against Manchester City fired a clear warning to other big teams like Chelsea and Manchester United who are yet to play with the team.
