Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero’s father is dead.
Mzee Johnson Kidero Agango has been undergoing treatment in India until he gave up the ghost on Friday evening.
CORD leader Raila Odinga sent his condolence and promised to support the Governor during this trying moments:
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mzee Johnson Kidero Agango, the father to the Governor of Nairobi City County Dr. Evans Kidero which occurred yesterday while undergoing treatment in India.
Mzee Agango’s death is not only a blow to the people of Wakeru village, Gem East Location, Rangwe constituency, Homa Bay County where he hailed, but also to the entire Nation of Kenya.
I have known Mzee Agango for many years as a strict disciplinarian and a advocate of education. He always wanted Kenya to be a better place to live.
On behalf of Mama Ida, my family, the ODM, the CORD family and on my own behalf, I condole with the family of Dr. Kidero for the loss and pray that God will give them comfort during this trying moment.
I assure Dr. Kidero of full support during this difficult time.

Mze Agango’s death comes barely three months since Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko lost his father.
