No Politics Please! That was the message the government and opposition sent to everyone when they visited injured KDF soldiers at Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi.
Uhuru, Margaret and Ruto led opposition leaders, Raila, Kalonzo and Wetangula in consoling the injured soldiers, days after Kenyans asked a series of questions as to why the President was so reluctant in meeting the soldiers.
Sources within State House however say a consultative meeting held earlier this week resolved that the President should appear only when need be. They argue that if Uhuru could have made it to Wilson Airport when bodies of the soldier killed in Somalia arrived then it could indicate he had lost the war.
Acting as if nothing major had happened broke the hearts of many Al-Shabaab and their sympathizers. It demonstrated that we are not moved even if deep inside we are hurt.
