President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, have arrived in Mandera to launch various projects.
The two leaders arrived in Mandera at 10 am and were welcomed by Parliament Majority Leader, Aden Duale and other N.E leaders.
The president is expected to break ground for the construction of the Wargudud Airport and the Rhamu-Mandera Road in Mandera North.
Later the two leaders will meet leaders from Mandera, Wajir and Garissa to discuss various issues touching the three counties.
The tour is expected to last three days.
