A giant baby was born in Nigeria on Tuesday night. The baby, according to the hospital where the mother delivered, weighed 3.9 kg and is taller than all new born babies born before him.
The mother was unable to lift her immediately, forcing nurses to help her.
According to Guinness World Records, the heaviest baby born to a healthy mother was a boy weighing 10.2 kg who was born to Sig. Carmelina Fedele (Italy) at Aversa, Italy in September 1955.
