President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to defend his seat in 2017 with his able deputy William Ruto. But statistics show that in terms of counties and the number of tribes that will vote to make him the president are fewer than Raila’s numbers, but careful analysis show that he has huge advantage over Raila in terms of number of registered voters.
If you are interested to know who will be the President in 2017, here are the figure-you will be shocked.
Kikuyu
The Kikuyu is the largest tribe in Kenya with an estimated registered voters totaling 3 million. In Central Kenya alone a total of 2,398,815 people are registered as voters, and looking at previous election turnout, Uhuru will get at least 95 % of the votes.
Kalenjin
Unless something happens to Ruto, God forbid, he will deliver at least 1.9 million votes to Uhuru Kenyatta. The Kalenjin tribe, comprising of more than 8 sub tribes will vote for Uhuru as they did in 2013.If Raila is lucky, which is highly unlikely, he will get 5 % from Kalenjin nation.
If you add Kalenjin and Kikuyu votes, you will get at least 5 million real votes, not imaginary votes.
Meru
Tharaka Nithi shocked Raila in 2007.in fact, it made Mwai Kibaki president. Eastern has 2,363,156 registered voters. In total, Uhuru will garner at least 900,000 votes from Eastern province.
Embu
The Embu will also vote for Uhuru since they come from the GEMA community, which has never voted for a stranger.
North Eastern Kenya, Maasai, Coast
In Coast there are at least 150,000 registered voters from the GEMA community-they will vote for Uhuru Kenyatta. Half of the Maasai and three quarter of North Eastern Kenya will vote for Uhuru.
Luhya, Kisii
A total of 90,000 Kenyans living in Western Kenya will vote for Uhuru while more than a third of kisiis will vote for Uhuru.Which implies that Uhuru will get at least 200,000 votes from the Kisii and Luhya communities.
Others
Since Kenya has 43 tribes, apart from the tries listed above, Uhuru will get an extra 200,000 votes from small tribes, most of them living in Nyanza..like the Kuria, and Rift Valley.
If you do your calculations, you’ll realize that Uhuru will win the 2017 elections in first round with 52 %.Our calculations show that if the turn out will be 85 %,then Uhuru will get 6.1 million votes while Raila will get 5.4 million votes.
