At least 9 people have been confirmed dead after an accident occurred along Migori-Kisii highway on Friday morning involving a Sugarcane truck and Otange bus.
The accident, which was fatal, left over 40 people with serious injuries while a couple of others had minor injuries.
According to an eye witness, the driver of the bus was overspending when the sugarcane truck appeared. He was unable to control the vehicle, leading to the fatal accident.
The bus was plying along Migori-Kisii road.
