CORD leader Raila Odinga is planning to suspend weekly anti-IEBC demonstrations after realizing he is fighting alone.
Raila, who is disturbed after unsuccessfully failed to force IEBC out of office, has resorted to changing his strategy. Our mole at Orange house says:
“Mzee is extremely disturbed because the Luhya and Kamba have left him alone fighting. He is in fact planning to suspend the demonstrations”.
The mole adds that Raila is particularly concerned with the way Luos are being killed in the ongoing demonstrations. He is also aware many leaders from Nyanza are not keen to join the demonstrations. The leaders have also advised him to change the strategy instead of using force, which will never yield fruits anyway.
One leader wondered:
“How comes demonstrations are happening in Nyanza and Kibera alone!don’t you see we are alone?”
One leader who has openly opposed Raila is Ababu Namwamba. During one secret meeting, Namwamba told the former Prime Minister that he is not ready to lose life because of demonstrations. Since that meeting Namwamba has been missing in action.
Ukambani leaders, led by Johnson Muthama, only appear in public to show Raila they are together, when in the real sense they are thinking otherwise.
Since Raila knows his coalition is leaking from all corners, he has decided to change the strategy. Instead of fighting IEBC, he has resolved to befriend some of the members, who in turn will bring in fighting in the commission.
Raila has also resolved to resurrect the chicken scandal and the 2013 presidential elections. To succeed in this, he will use foreign forces to push for disbandment of the commission.
