Nakuru residents stoned Raila Odinga’s motorcade at various locations within the town.
The drama started when the former Prime Minister emerged from a popular hotel in the town. When youths realized he was around they started pelting the hotel with stones. It took efforts of the police to save the ODM leader from the jaws of the angry youths.
The drama also extended to various streets within the town where youths blocked the roads to force him shelve his plans of preparing the residents for Monday demonstrations.
In Kiamunyi, youths blocked the Kabarak-Nakuru road, forcing vehicles to use alternative routes for the better part of the day.
Raila was in Nakuru to prepare the youths for the anti-IEBC demonstrations which have already happened in other parts of the country.But Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has banned all demonstrations within his jurisdiction.
