Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has begged Deputy President William Ruto to allow him join Jubilee party.
The governor, who has been a fierce critic of the DP, has made numerous frantic calls to the DP Ruto wanting a meeting to iron out their differences. But Uhuru’s deputy has refused to grant him audience claiming that he is so engrossed to developments and has no time for politics.
The governor has now resorted to using Ruto’s allies to reach out to the DP in a bid to secure a ticket under Jubilee Party in the forthcoming general elections.
This political developments comes after the governor realized his party will only win an MCA seat and not any seat above that. He believes the DP is so strong in Rift Valley that his party will sweep all the top seats.
Being a politician who has tasted the sweetness of a political seat, especially the gubernatorial seat,Rutto has decided to mend fences before it’s too late-he wants to recapture the seat.
