News reaching us indicates that the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) has been disbanded and almost the entire personnel sacked.
Dennis Itumbi, a blogger by profession, is one of the directors who were sacked in the changes.
In a memo signed by assistant Head of Public Service Nzioka Waita, President Uhuru Kenyatta sent packing four directors in charge of various department of the unit.
However, the Presidency retained Manoah Esipisu as the State House spokesperson and head of communication.
The Directors affected include: Munyori Buku, Senior Director Public Communications, Dennis Itumbi, Digital and Diaspora Communications Director, Eric Ng’eno, head of Messaging at the Presidency, James Kinyua, the Branding and Events Director.
