Six police officers were killed when gunmen believed to be from a terror group, Alshabaab, attacked Kapenguria Police Station in West Pokot County.
The gunmen stormed the police station, took over and started shooting indiscriminately, killing at least 5 police officers.
A suspect identified as Omar Eurmod had been arrested at Nakuiit on suspicion of being a terrorist.He was in the police station when the station was attacked.
Currently, there is heavy police presence at the station.
