Latest news indicate that former steeplechase champion, Ezekiel Kemboi, has said he will not retire from athletics after all.
Kemboi, who was disqualified at Rio, Brazil, confirmed that he has unfinished business, after walking home empty handed
Here is Kemboi’s Facebook post:
“I had opted to retire right after the Olympics only if i had come home with this medal….now i feel that i have to bring back this medal not by protesting again but right on track. Kemboi is not retired i will be coming to London 2017 to re-claim my medal from France. No limits.”
The athlete had indicated early that he will retire from international competitions after the tournament in Brazil, but following the circumstances with which he exited the competition, he has opted to continue participating.
