News just reaching us indicates that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka,Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi and KANU chairman Gideon Moi will meet this week to form a coalition that will wrestle Raila and Uhuru coalitions.
Our mole close to Kalonzo Musyoka say the former Vice President is not keen to support Raila Odinga again; he has realized Raila is not in a hurry to support anyone.Kalonzo believes that by forming a coalition party with Mudavadi alongside Gideon Moi, their party will be strong enough to force for a run off in 2017.In case they become second, Raila will be forced to support them, which will make it hard for president Uhuru to retain his seat.
Already, the three leaders have met at least twice since September this year. The talks are at advanced stage but they have not settled on the flag bearer. But the three leaders feel that Mudavadi, who has good reputation across all communities, will make the ideal candidate for president. He will be deputized by Kalonzo as Gideon becomes a principal within the coalition, who later will become a powerful Prime Minister in case they take over the leadership.
Meanwhile, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has opted out of CORD coalition..but no party is willing to accept him because they believe he doesn’t have what it takes to be a powerful figure within any major coalition.
