World javelin champion Julius Yego is currently admitted at Eldoret hospital after being involved in a grisly accident on Sunday night.
Yego was driving his new Toyota Prado along Kapsoya road near Equity Bank when the accident occurred, which damaged the vehicle beyond repair.
The athlete was immediately rushed to Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret Town where he underwent several medical tests and observations.
Journalists were prevented from accessing Yego’s hospital room, but information gathered from the hospital reveal that Yego is in stable condition.
Confirming he is okay,the athlete thanked God for protecting him:
“God is living and great!am ok my people ! Can’t believe am alive!@mungu yupo!!am in stable condition!,” he said.
