A miracle has just happened in Texas, USA, when a baby was born twice at Texas Childrenโs Hospital
Doctors at the hospital discovered a tumour in Lynlee Boemer tailbone during a routine ultrasound just 16 weeks into her mum Margaretโs pregnancy. In order to save her life, the doctors resolved to remove the baby from her motherโs womb, perform surgical operation and then return it back to the womb.
The mother, Margaret, was taken to theatre where surgery was performed and the tumour was removed from the baby. At this time the baby was weighing 538g-it was impossible for her to survive outside the motherโs womb, so they had to return her back to the womb.
She was put back inside her mumโs uterus where she remained for another 12 weeks โ almost making it to full term โ before Lynlee once again came into the world.
The miracle baby weighed 2.4kg when she was born again and following a brief check up she was taken to the nursery to be with the other babies.
While expressing her joy during delivery, Margaret said:
โI thought my baby wonโt survive after I underwent the operation. I am excited to have given birth twice. I also thank the doctors for the wonderful work they didโ.
