Tanzania’s president Pombe Magufuli was stuck in Nairobi traffic for two hours, prompting him to step out of his comfort car to walk all the way to State House.
The President, who had spent some time in Intercontinental Hotel, was to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta, but the traffic snarl up made the respected president walk out of his car alongside his security details.
It is not clear why the Uhuru Highway was not cleared-it is usually cleared when a person of Magufuli’s caliber is expected- but Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has stated that she will comment later on the matter.
Magufuli is in Kenya for two days.
