Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump was almost assassinated at Nevada during a political rally before a charged crowd, thanks to the secret service who moved swiftly and arrested a suspected hitman.
The real estate investor was making a speech when security officers took to the stage and rushed him off, causing panic in the room. They then sealed the building and prevented anyone from exiting, before finally arresting the suspect.
The politician then returned to the stage several minutes and continued with his speech. Trump told the crowd: “Nobody said it was going to be easy for us, but we will never be stopped- never ever be stopped.
“I want to thank the Secret Service. They don’t get enough credit. They’re amazing people.”
He continued speaking about Obamacare as well as military personnel and veterans. Referring to the incident, he told the crowd: “You see those medal of honour recipients? When they saw that scene over there, they would have brushed off the Secret Service and they would have jumped in there.” He then gesticulated a fist fight.
After the speech, Trump gave special thanks to secret service. Here is what he said:
“I would like to thank the United States Secret Service and the law enforcement resources in Reno and the state of Nevada for their fast and professional response.
I also want to thank the many thousands of people present for their unwavering and unbelievable support. Nothing will stop us – we will make America great again!”
