Uhuru’s re-election as president is imminent, but chances of his closest challenger, Raila Odinga, beating him are increasingly becoming high as the Election Day nears. There are over 20 reasons why Raila might beat Uhuru in 2017, one of the reasons is explained below:
“Nigeria voted for Mohammadu Buhari, aged 71 years then to oust the corrupt Goodluck Jonathan, aged 55. This month, America went to the polls to elect Donald John Trump, aged 71 to take over from the 55 year old Barack Obama. In 2017, Raila Amolo Odinga, who will be 71 will trounce Uhuru Kenyatta, aged 55 without any complaints”
Even as Kenyans gather hopes that that one day Raila would become president, chances of him becoming head of state are slim, unless this happens:
If all of Raila’s followers register as voters and vote to man while some of Uhuru’s supporters refuse to vote. But history reveals that not more than 82 % of Raila’s supporters will vote next year whereas more than 90 % of Uhuru’s voters will wake up at 4 am to vote. Using this scenario, chances of Raila becoming president are near zero.
