US President Elect Donald Trump started on a low note after one of the brilliant minds, Dr.Ben Carson, refused to take up a cabinet position, saying he doesn’t have relevant experience to qualify him for the position.
The neurosurgeon, who competed with Trump in the early stages of republican campaigns, said this in a statement:
“My decision not to seek a cabinet position in the Trump administration has nothing to do with the complexity of the job as is being reported by some news outlets. I believe it is vitally important for the Trump administration to have many outspoken friends and advisers who are outside of the Washington bubble. It is vital to have independent voices of reason and reconciliation if our nation is to heal and regain its greatness. I will continue to work with the transition team and beyond as we build a dynamite executive branch of government”
Meanwhile, as Obama continues to clear his closet at the White House, Trump is busy picking his staff, who include his family members. He is expected to replace White House staff with his preferred individuals, people he trusts.
