Activist, Boniface Mwangi, dropped out of school several years ago. The controversial photographer did his KCPE over 10 years ago, where he scored 208/700 marks. He didn’t bother to continue with school because education was not his thing.
The son of Mwangi came to Nairobi to look for greener pastures, but before he could find a bearing, he found himself at the streets. As a street boy, with barely nothing to put in his stomach, he started doing drugs.It is at this time that the former NACADA chair, Joseph Kaguthi rescued him from the jaws of drug addiction.
Mwangi, who is a father and husband, joined activism in 2007, during post-election violence. Since then, he has made activism a career, and he is now worthy Ksh3 million, thanks to his generous donors.
Boniface registered for KCSE examination this year at Visionary Tuition Centre in South B.The activist fears he might fail the exam but is confident of pulling a surprise.
