Coast bound bus, Modern Coast, has burst into flames at Mtito Andei area on the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The bus was headed Nairobi when the fire, which originated from the bus engine, spread across the entire vehicle, forcing passengers to sneak out through windows and the main door.
There were no casualties reported, though the bus was completely damaged.
The incident comes days after the infamous Naivasha accident which claimed 43 lives.
Modern Coast is among the most reliable buses on Mombasa-Nairobi route.
