Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, MP Rashid Bedzimba and Mvita’s Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir have been arrested and will spend the weekend in Coast Provincial Police Headquarters.
The three leaders were arrested yesterday after they stormed a police post following the arrest of Joho’ closest friend.
It is believed Joho and the rest of the group will be charged this Monday for causing chaos at a police cell and disrupting normal operations.
The Mombasa Governor has been hiding since Wednesday after he got wind that several strange police officer had been attached to his residence in Nyali.
