The real tyranny of numbers has shifted to CORD after more than 200,000 CORD voters registered in the first day, sending shock waves across Jubilee supporters. Huge lines were witnessed in Kisumu, Mombasa and Western Kenya which are CORD strongholds.
Contrary to the believes of many that Jubilee supporters who would turn up for the exercise will outnumber CORD supporters, the tables have been overturned, prompting Jubilee leaders to provide vehicles to transport supporters to registration centers.
In Kisumu, there were huge lines in Huduma Center where youths, especially women, appeared to apply for Identity Cards. The center was forced to extend closing hours to 8.30 pm so as to attend to CORD supporters in the room.
