Former Gambia president,Yahya Jammeh disappeared with a whopping $11 million plus several luxury cars.
The president, who was smoked out of his state house in Gambia, decided to carry with himself a Bentley, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, several Mercedes Benz, Toyota V8, armoured land cruiser cars and Porsche. The total cost of the cars is estimated at $3 million.
More shocking information from Gambia reveals that after the former dictator left the country, the new president, Adama Barrow,arrived and got almost empty bank accounts, meaning that he looted almost everything.
It is estimated that the former ruler stole more than what was quoted in several media houses, the figure could rise to $50 million, which is almost an eighth of Gambia’s GDP.
Since Equatorial Guinea, country that has never known democracy is hosting Mr Jammeh, chances of Barrow having him jailed for the atrocities are slim.
