Raila has now where to hide after it emerged that the GEMA community, alongside their friends from Rift Valley, the Kalenjin, are planning to register over 3 million more votes during this registration exercise. The Jubilee administration is so much determined that they have planned to hold harambee to raise money which will cater for transport to people who are registering.
Already, Uhuru’s friend, Moses Kuria, and several other politicians from Central Kenya have started dishing out money to people who register as voters. The money ranges from Ksh100 to Ksh500 depending on the pockets of a politician. This scenario is expected to continue until when the exercise will be closed.
The projected figures by the IEBC in Central and Rift Valley are estimated at 2.5 million, and going by the statistics from the first week of voter registration exercise, it is estimated that 2 million more voters would register in those two regions. With these numbers in the pocket against CORD’s new 1.7 million voters, it will be almost impossible for Raila to beat Uhuru, even after the CORD leader, out of fear, stated that NIS is secretly registering Jubilee voters in Uganda and Ethiopia.
At the end of this registration exercise,Uhuru will walk into elections knowing he needs 600,000 more votes from other tribes to re-enter State House. If he gets 100,000 votes from Maasai,100,000 from Kisii and the rest give him 400,000 more votes,he will be home.
