Members of Alshabaab group have attacked Kenyan soldier in Somalia. Heavy fighting reported as KDF soldiers try to take back the camp from the militants.
Reports from the camp indicates that KDF have destroyed two vehicles fitted with explosive devices. They have also managed to rescue some of the soldier captured by the militants.
It was earlier reported that the Alshabaab had managed to completely overrun the camp after they caught Kenyan soldiers unaware.
Details of the number of casualties are still scanty but confirmed information shows that heavy fighting is ongoing.
