DP William Ruto is in trouble after lawyer, Gitobu Imanyara wrote a letter indicating that he(Ruto) should start supporting a child he sired outside marriage. The latter was written by the lawyer today on behalf of his client and was forwarded to the DP.
The letter says in parts:
โThe defendant/respondent has failed, refused and/or neglected to provide the minor with adequate and/or basic necessities such as good health, food, school fees, decent clothing, shelter and medicationโ.
The letter also continues to say:
The defendant has totally eschewed and/or neglected his parental responsibility as demanded of him under the constitution of Kenya, 2010
The issue of child support was first raised by activist Boniface Mwangi during his case with the DP.
William Ruto has a total of 6 children and is married to Rachel Ruto.He is believed to have impregnated a woman in 2010 and disappeared.After years of raising the child single-handedly,the woman has decided to sue him for child support.
