A mammoth crowd estimated to be upwards of 10,000 welcomed Raila Odinga and his brigade in Bomet County. This is the first time a crowd of such magnitude has been witnessed in the town.
Photos from the ground showed enthusiastic crowd getting near Raila’s V8 and trying to touch his blessed hand, but the CORD leader was protected by a battalion, who escorted to Isaac Ruto’s stadium.
Today’s rally marked the beginning of NASA coalition, which is expected to announce Raila as the flag bearer, Kalonzo as the Deputy President and Mudavadi as a co-principal. Isaac Ruto is also expected to join the coalition in March this year.
As Raila was enjoying warm reception in opposition stronghold,Ruto was in Mombasa to market Jubilee. Few bodaboda riders were seen accompanying the DP along the streets of Mtwapa.
