Dennis Itumbi, the Director of Digital Communications, and entire team handling President Kenyatta have had a busy last week defending their boss for dabbing.

President Uhuru had called on Kenyans to participate in the dab challenge through his twitter handle where he promised the winner of the challenge a visit to State House. This was after pictures and a video of the him dabbing, a dance move popularized by the American rap group Migos , took rounds on social media. The challenge was supposedly a move to mobilize the youth to get registered as voters.

The pictures and video have gone viral receiving lots of responses from Kenyans who took to social media to criticize the president for ignoring important issues while striving to appear as a cool president.  The issues that they claimed have not been addressed include the national drought disaster, the doctors and lecturers strike, and lack of jobs for the youth.

Itumbi and his team were forced to share the achievements of the jubilee administration to contain the negative reactions from Kenyans. But even after he forced people to accept that Jubilee has achieved, Kenyans continued to pour their frustrations on social media.

We are reliably informed that Jubilee bloggers, led by Itumbi, have done dismally over the past two years, leaving CORD brigade to thrive. This has led to President Uhuru to consider restructuring his communication team.
