Mike Sonko to quit Jubilee

Nairobi gubernatorial race is getting interesting each morning after it emerged that Senator Sonko might leave the party.

Jubilee nomination for aspirants is imminent but Sonko, as of yesterday had not submitted his nomination papers, implying that he has decided to run as an independent candidate. The deadline for submission was yesterday, 10/3/2017 and all aspirants were required to submit their nomination papers. Only Peter Kenneth and Margaret Wanjiru had submitted their papers.

The party was forced to extend the submission deadline so as to beg Sonko to submit his papers and lock him forever. But as it stands, Sonko has decided to leave the coalition because he is fully aware Jubilee has decided to pick Peter Kenneth as their most preferred candidate for the position of Nairobi Governor Seat.

It is also emerging that Dagoretti Member of Parliament Dennis Waweru and Johnson Sakaja have not submitted their nomination papers as well.

If Sonko decides to quit Jubilee, PK should kiss the Governor Position good bye.
