Citizen TV news anchor, Janet Mbugua has formally quit Citizen TV after spending more than 4 years at the station.
In an emotional send off, Janet thanked Royal Media Services and S.K Macharia for giving her opportunity to advance her skills. She also thanked fellow workers and Kenyans for their unwavering support throughout the entire period she has served her employer.
Janet is now header Kenya Red Cross as the Head of Communication, a position that will see her travel wide and mix journalism and humanitarian services. Her salary too will be reviewed upwards, from the current Ksh850,000 to Ksh 1.2 million-Ksh1.7 million.
Citizen is looking for her replacement, which will take several months.
