Shocking statistics have indicated Uhuru Kenyatta will garner less than 8 million votes in August 2017.
According to analysts, Uhuru will garner 7.8 million votes and his opponent, Raila Odinga ,will get 9.1 million votes. To make it clear, let’s start by listing tribes which are likely to vote for Uhuru
Here is the list
- Kikuyu
- Meru
- Embu
- Kalenjin
Going by IEBC statistics, these tribes have a total of 6.8 million votes.
Uhuru is expected to get at most 1.5 million votes from the remaining tribes, pushing his total number of votes to 8.3 million.
Before you celebrate this figure, let’s remind you that the 6.8 million votes represent 100 % of the total registered votes for the 4 tribes. We know that the turn out will be 91 % in Uhuru’s strongholds.
Unlike 2013 when ICC and Mau propaganda denied Raila the Maasai and Kalenjin votes, this time around the opposition leader is expected to get more than 30 % of the votes from Bomet, Uasin Gishu and Meru-he will also get 60 % of the Maasai votes.
Uhuru is expected to get less than 15 % of the Coast votes, less than 12 % of the votes in Nyanza and less than 13% votes in Western Kenya.
Looking at the statistics above, it’s only a miracle that will rescue the president from losing power to Raila.
