The Aberystwyth University is delighted to offer Aber-grad Scholarships to pursue taught masters, LLM by Research and MPhil program. UK/EU and international students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

Scholarships will be available for international (non-EU) students. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue taught masters, LLM by Research and MPhil program.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in any of the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: If you hold a First Class Bachelors (Hons.) degree, then the scholarship will be 20% of your tuition fees. Holders of Second Class degrees are eligible for a scholarship worth 10% of your Taught Masters tuition fee.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
Students must be graduates of Aberystwyth University having gained at least a 2:2 or above. The scholarship will be automatically awarded to students registering on any Taught Masters scheme (excluding the PGCE courses) LLM by Research or MPhil at Aberystwyth University. All Aberystwyth University graduates (The UK, other EU, and non-EU) are eligible. The scheme covers all modes of study (full-time, part-time and distance-learning). Applicants may only hold the Aber-grad scholarship with other funding so long as the combined amount does not exceed 50% of the proposed Master’s tuition fees. (Note: Please note that the regulations of other scholarships prevent them from being held with other awards. It is the applicants’ responsibility to seek confirmation on this). It does not cover those receiving scholarships or bursaries exceeding 50% of the proposed tuition fees and it does not cover staff candidates. Loans are not treated as scholarships for this purpose.

College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Generally, the minimum entry requirement for most Taught Masters courses is a lower second class honors degree (2:2). However, some departments may require 2:2 degrees with a score of 56.5 or above (e.g. Department of International Politics) or relevant work experience (e.g. Distance Learning courses).
English Language Requirements: International and EU applicants will need to show evidence of a sufficient knowledge of English. This must be proved before you begin your course. If you have not achieved the required level before sending us your application, your formal offer for postgraduate study will include a condition stating that you need to achieve this level before the start of your course. If you do not reach the required level of proficiency, it will not be possible to admit you onto the course.
