MBS Scholarships

Value Partial Tuition Fees (from $20,000)
Eligibility Open to all candidates who apply to the full-time MBA program.
Application and Selection Process Successful full-time MBA candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support.

 

Corporate Scholarships

The Rupert Murdoch Fellowship

Established in 1989 by News Ltd, the Rupert Murdoch Fellowship recognises achievements, initiative and commitment in areas beyond career or academic record and is awarded to an MBA candidate who has an interest in the media and technology business. Murdoch Fellows must undertake an exchange opportunity at a prestigious partner school and be interested in completing an internship at News Ltd.

Value Full Tuition Fees + Living Stipends ($13,530)
Eligibility Open to Australian citizen and permanent residents who apply to the full-time MBA program. Note: for entry into the August 2017 intake, applications must be received by 31 March 2017.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are invited to apply. Shortlisted candidates will participate in an interview.

 

The John Clemenger Memorial Scholarship

This is a highly prestigious award in appreciation of the many services John Clemenger provided to the development of Victoria, to Lawn Tennis in Australia, and to his chosen profession of advertising. The recipient is expected to have an interest in marketing and be a top achiever academically.

Eligibility Candidates are invited to apply. Shortlisted candidates will participate in an interview.
Application and Selection Process Open to candidates who apply to the full-time MBA/Master of Marketing program.

 

The Telstra Indigenous Scholarship

The Telstra Indigenous Scholarship aims to assist talented young professionals of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) descent to earn a part-time degree program at MBS, and offer full-time employment at Telstra with a mentoring relationship with a senior executive.

Value Tuition Fees ($75,000) + Employment Contract with Telstra
Eligibility Open to professionals of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) descent who apply to the part-time, Executive or Senior Executive MBA program.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are automatically considered for this opportunity. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview.

 

Diversity Scholarships

Dean’s International Management Scholarship

This scholarship recognises the high calibre of international students commencing in our full-time MBA program each year. Awarded on merit, the scholarship recognises an MBA candidate who demonstrates academic excellence and high level management qualities.

Eligibility Open to international students who apply to the full-time MBA application.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are invited to apply. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Dean.

 

Diversity Excellence Scholarships

The Diversity Excellence Scholarships reflect our commitment to promoting diversity within the MBA classroom and seeking out excellence in candidates who come from a range of backgrounds.

Eligibility Open to candidates who apply to the full-time MBA program. Note: for entry into the August 2017 intake, applications must be received by 21 October 2016.
Application and Selection Process Successful candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support.

 

Hellenic Scholarship

Supported by anonymous donors, the Greek Community of Melbourne and the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI), the Hellenic Scholarship provides financial assistance to a Greek or Greek Cypriot candidate pursuing the MBA education.

Value Full Tuition Fees + Accommodation and some materials
Eligibility Open to Greek or Greek Cypriot candidates who apply to the full-time MBA program, and live in Greece or Cyprus at the time of their application.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support.

 

The Reid Malley Foundation Scholarship

The Reid Malley Foundation Scholarship provides assistance to a candidate who demonstrates financial needs to be able to commence in the full-time MBA program.

Application and Selection Process Eligible full-time MBA candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support.


External Scholarships 

Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship

The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship provides generous assistance to an eligible candidate from an ADB borrowing member country to undertake postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.

Value Full Tuition Fees + Accommodation, living allowance, return airfare and medical insurance during time of study.
Eligibility Open to all candidates who apply to the full-time MBA program August 2018 Intake by 31 August 2017 and meet eligibility requirements of the ADB-JSP Scholarship.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are automatically considered for this opportunity. Shortlisted candidates will be nominated by MBS to be considered along with candidates from selected faculties at the University of Melbourne.

 

Women in Leadership Scholarships

The Helen Macpherson Smith Fellowship

The Helen Macpherson Smith Trust has established a special fund to encourage women to study, teach and research in management. Fellowships are awarded each year to an outstanding woman who demonstrates the potential to reach senior levels in management or to create and run her own business.

Eligibility Open to female candidates who apply to the full-time or part-time MBA program and live in Victoria at the time of their application.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support.

 

Dean’s Scholarship for Women and Management

The Dean’s Scholarship for Women and Management is designed to attract women executives to the Senior Executive MBA program. While diversity may exist in many fields in early career stages, at the senior level these numbers tend to fall away. The Scholarship addresses this decline by making the program accessible to senior women executives.

Eligibility Open to female candidates who apply to the Senior Executive MBA program. Note: for entry into the April 2018 intake, applications must be received by 30 November 2017.

Not for Profit Scholarships

The Harold Campbell-Pretty Scholarship

The School’s long-term supporter Krystyna Campbell-Pretty, who, along with her late husband Harold Campbell-Pretty, has generously supported Melbourne Business School for over 20 years. This Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to an MBA candidate from a disadvantaged background, and, with a preference for a candidate who has worked or has a demonstrated desire to work in the Not for Profit sector.

Value Full Tuition Fees + Living Stipends ($14,530)
Eligibility Open to candidates who apply to the full-time MBA program.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are invited to apply. Shortlisted candidates will participate in an interview.

 

The SEMBA Class of 2003 Scholarship

The SEMBA Class of 2003 is committed to support a part-time MBA candidate who will bring their not for profit experience to the MBA classroom.

Value $50,000
Eligibility Open to candidates who are from the Not for Profit sector and apply to the part-time MBA program. Note: applications must be received by 30 October 2017.
Application and Selection Process Eligible candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship support. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview.
