The Cunningham Undergraduate Bursaries 2017/18
The Cunningham Undergraduate Bursary is a generous bursary providing £4,000 per academic year towards maintenance. The bursary is aimed at undergraduates from low household incomes who have achieved outstanding results in their ‘A’ Levels. There are two bursaries to be awarded in 2017/18 worth £4,000 each for a maximum of three years.
Eligibility criteria
- New Home/UK undergraduates studying their first undergraduate degree 2017/18;
- Household income between £0 and £20,000 as assessed by Student Finance England;
- Achieved grades AAA or above in ‘A’ Levels (or equivalent UK qualifications);
- Ordinarily resident in England.
Application and Deadline
Online application form must be submitted by Tuesday 31st October 2017.
Applicants must be means tested by Student Finance England and have this information share with City by Tuesday 31st October 2017.
Selection and Notification
Applications will be assessed on the basis of financial hardship and academic merit. Shortlisting will be conducted by a panel consisting of both academic and professional staff. Short-listed applicants may be required to provide further information and/or attend an interview. The panel’s decision will be final and cannot be appealed. All applicants will be contacted by 31st January 2018. Awardees are expected to attend the City Scholarship Evening Spring 2018.
