ODM has formally written to the IEBC seeking to replace KNUT chair Wilson Sossion with Isaac Ruto.
The party’s decision came after Raila discovered he was duped by Sossion, who had promised to convince more than 100,000 teachers together with their dependents to vote for Raila.Sossion,who has honey-coated tongue ,was given a slot in parliament for his anticipated good work. Results from Rift Valley showed that Sossion was a cheat, prompting ODM to revoke his nomination.
Even though ODM has requested IEBC to expunge Sossion’s name from a list of names proposed by the party, it’s almost impossible for the electoral body to take any action.The law states that the lit presented to the IEBC is final.
Isaac Ruto flopped badly in the just concluded Bomet gubernatorial contest, where he came second after he was defeated by a woman, Joyce Laboso.Instead of staying in the cold for five years, the former Governor has begged Raila to consider him for a slot, which is the reason Sossion is wanted out.
