The former Congo dictator Mobutu Seseseko’s house in Congo is in a sorry state, few decades after his demise. The house is abandoned and only birds and wild animals are living there.
Before his demise and when he was building the palace, this is what had happened:
At the time Nelson Mandela was bringing the two antagonists President Mobutu Seseseko and Rebel Leader Laurent Desire Kabila for peace talks aboard a yacht ship on Atlanta Ocean at Port Victoria, Mobutu was the richest man in the continent, in fact he was richer than his country. He build a palace in his village at a staggering Ksh60 billion. He was deposed by Kabila and ran into exile where he died and was buried like a homeless dog .Only his children attended the funeral. Mobutu had killed PM Patrice Lumumba earlier in the days as his cheer leaders praised on. His Ksh 60B home is now a deserted place all the investments eaten by ants and the home now ruled by bush rats, geckos and lizards
Here in Kenya, people are building palaces, which is not bad as long as it’s from their own pockets.Ruto,Raila and many other leaders have built homes worth over Ksh1 billion each.
