Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has completely refused to return to Kenya despite several attempts by Raila Odinga to convince him to do so.
Kalonzo was expected in the country during Raila’s triumphant return from the US few weeks ago.Raila had planned to visit him in Germany so that they could together return to the country, but Kalonzo refused-he even told him not to bother to visit him in Germany.
Initially, Kenyans thought that the main reason Kalonzo is in Germany is because of his wife’s sickness, but it was later established that he wanted to avoid confrontations with the police and Jubilee administration.
Even though his son, Kenneth, flew to Germany to take care of his mother, the Wiper Leader refused to return to his motherland, stating that he is just okay in a foreign land. It’s due to Kalonzo’s reluctance that Raila has been extremely weakened. The ODM leader is now fighting alone,of course with a handful of faithful ODM leaders… even Joho has left him.
In a week’s time, ODM may swear in Raila but what is interesting is that Kalonzo will not be part of that arrangement-he has stated so.The reason for Kalonzo’s absence is that he hates confrontational politics.
