Joseph Ng’ethe Kiarie was on his way to church in Thika when he met his death. He was driving his personal car which was accidentally hit by a Matatu belonging to Marimba SACCO. On asking for compensation from the Matatu crew, he was beaten to death by the Conductors.
The identities of the matatus involved in the incident are:
KCF 793Z belonging to Marimba SACCO
KCF 841 E belonging to Zuri SACCO
The police have reported that the conductors assigned to the two vehicles are still at large. But Kenyans have insisted that the police must produce them, alive or dead. They have also demanded for de-registration of the two SACCOs.
