Diabetes occurs when you have a lot of blood sugar (glucose) in the body.It happens when insulin is insufficient or your body doesn’t respond to insulin properly. Insulin is a type of hormone in the body that controls the level of blood sugar, not to be too high or too low.
There are 3 types of diabetes; Type 1 , Type 2 and Gestational. Type 1 diabetes is hereditary meaning you cannot prevent while type 2 is more of life style disease. Gestational diabetes mostly occurs during pregnancy often resolves after childbirth. However, it could result in Type 2 diabetes and therefore it is often advisable for a woman to go for screening later after giving birth.

Remedies of Diabetes
- Medication
- Avoid heavy drinking of alcohol
- Monitoring of blood sugar levels
- Eating non starchy foods and vegetables that contain mushrooms, onions, garlic or pepper
- Losing weight by dieting and exercising
- Artificial pancreas or bone marrow transplant
