This morning I received an email from a blogger who sought to know other ways of generating money from his blog besides Google AdSense. The blogger was concerned that he has received several warnings from AdSense and that his account might be disabled. I promised to answer him through a blog post so as to enable other bloggers to benefit. Through my personal experience, here are my recommendations.
Best AdSense alternatives for small and medium websites
There are blogs with small and medium traffic. Small and medium means those that receive between 500 to 20,000 visitors per day. There are monetization platforms for these publishers but I would only pick those that I trust.
- MGID
MGID is actually the best according to me.If you look at my website, you will see I am using it and actually paying me well. Each my RPM ranges between .60 and 1.5.
I like MGID because it doesn’t make the site heavy, it also blends well with the content. My earnings are also impressive.
Requirements for joining MGID
MGID works well with blogs that deal with entertainment content, fashion, news, politics and betting. Minimum requirements include at least 3000 daily page views, no adult content and at least few months old. But if your blog receives less than 3,000 views, it might get approved. For faster approval, send me your email address , domain name and url to [email protected] .Your blog will be approved within two days.
If you’re currently using AdSense, you can as well place MGID banner on your site and start earning immediately.
Once you get approved, make sure to select Paypal as the payment method. If you’re a Kenyan, open an account with Equity bank and link your account with Paypal such that when MGID sends you money, you will transfer it to Equity without any issues.
MGID sends money every month as long as you reach minimum threshold. Their Paypal minimum threshold is $100, which is easy to attain.
- Content Ad
Several blogs are using Content Ad…I have also used it before. Content Ad is the second best AdSense alternative after MGID.I encourage every blogger to consider applying for approval as it may turn to be the best.
Content Ad complements AdSense very well and it can greatly boost your revenue.
Approval by Content Ad is easier than AdSense, Taboola, Outbrain and even RevContent.
The only approval requirement is at least 10,000 page views per month .
- HilltopAds
I also find HilltopAds good to work with. What I have noticed is that sometimes you can earn more money from HilltopAds than AdSense, especially if your blog is popular.
HilltopAds works well with medium and large publishers. If you have a blog that receives over 1,000 page views per day, apply for approval today. To apply, click here
For large publishers, here are the best AdSense alternatives:
- Taboola
- Outbrain
- RevContent
These three require more than 5 million page views per month. If you have a small blog, don’t waste your time to apply for approval by the three.RevContent is actually the strictest—it rejects over 98% of sites,Taboola and Outbrain can approve your blog as long as you attain their minimum threshold.
- Dianomi
Dianomi is good for finance and business sites. If your content deals with business, real estate, finance ,banking and insurance, try your luck in Dianomi.
