Anyone can be a blogger but not everybody can succeed in this environment. There are some unique attributes successful blogger portray that micro bloggers lack. More often, the successful ones never share with the rest how they manage to make more money and remain afloat for long.
If you search for blogs owned by successful bloggers you will notice one or two things…let me empty them below.
- Resilient
There is a major difference between resilience and consistence. When you are resilient, you will overcome any challenge no matter what but when you are consistency, something small might throw you out of the water. There are many challenges that face bloggers, like arrests, intimidations, financial constaint, website hacking and competition. Successful bloggers know how to overcome all these challenges.
Any successful blogger would narrate the million challenges they have faced. I know of a blogger who was imprisoned for one good year, he came out and continued blogging, now he is making $12,000 per month.
- They are willing to spend
The amount of money successful bloggers spend on hosting, traffic and other charges will scare you.One of the bloggers, actually the one who introduced me to Blogging, pays $6000 per year in hosting. He also spends over $1,000 every month on SEMrush ,Leadpages and ConvertKit tools. But this blogger makes over $50,000 per month. It’s not that he spends because he earns this amount, the bloggers understands why it’s important to spend such an amount-he wants his blog to stand out. The guy owns Soutmeloud, one of the best blogs in the world. He is the one who referred me to Kinsta, the best hosting company so far.One thing he told me when I was joining this industry is, not to fear spending money, especially if the services are good. Initially I purchased the cheapest plan but over time I upgraded, I am now paying $1,000 each month. My blog receives over 9 million visitors per month. If you also wish to grow your blog, join Kinsta through this link
- They are not selfish with information
Last week I wrote about Pat Flynn, one of the richest bloggers in the world. This guy made over $2 million in 2017.One thing you will learn from him is that he is not selfish with information. If you contact him inquiring how he manages to attract the massive amount of traffic to his blog, he will reveal everything.
The beauty of blogging is that the more you share information, the more you become successful and the more you get selfish, the more you lose. When I am stuck I always turn to other bloggers for help and when they are stuck, they turn to me.As a blogger I understand I don’t know everything, sometimes I have to consult.
- They are obsessed with their work
If you come up with a blog, post two or three articles and get worked up, you better quit blogging-blogging is all about passion.
One thing I have come to realize is that few individuals get information that other bloggers are earning millions in dollars, due to hunger for money, they throw themselves into this challenging profession. These guys never last, they quit almost immediately.
There are bloggers I know who took close to two years without earning any cash from their blogs but they never give up because they loved what they did. Realistically, blogging doesn’t pay at initial stages but eventually it pays.
- They build brands, not just ordinary
Successful bloggers strive to build a brand. Right from the word go, they figure out on a unique domain name, company name and content. They build something people would identify them with. Bloggers are not focusing on today and few days from now, they focus on decades to come such that whenever an opportunity presents itself to dispose the blog, they will cash in something that would keep them rich forever.
- Unique content
One thing about successful bloggers is that they have areas where they specialize in.These bloggers don’t own many blogs, they don’t write anything and everything. What they do is, identify one topic and specialize on it and over time they become the authority.
