I have been married to a nurse for the past 6 years, we just divorced a month ago.I will advise any man, marry a nurse at your own risk.I have decided not to marry again, let me stay single until I die.
My life was good when I met Tabitha in 2012.She was fresh from KMTC and I thought she could make a great wife. We dated for one year and decided to tie the knot. It didn’t occur to me that my wife would later turn out to be a servant for all.
In 2014 she got a job at a Nairobi hospital. This was after I bribed her boss for her to secure the opportunity. I was happy when she finally was employed. In her first year as a nurse, she was incredibly good, she would bring part of her salary to foot our bills, come home early and do everything at home as a wife. Over time, her goodness dimmed, she started developing some rudeness. I thought it was due to her pregnancy and I excused her.She delivered well and even after delivering, her character didn’t change.
One of the things that raised eyebrows is the fact that my kid didn’t resemble me at all,he neither resembled her. Both of us are black but the kid is very brown, almost white. I didn’t question her over the same,I waited until the baby was 6 months old and then suggested a DNA test.
One morning as we were taking tea,I made the suggestion, but the answer I got left me in tears.
“If you see the child is not yours, you can as well leave me.I won’t accept DNA, no, never, over my dead body”, she shouted. The statement killed my idea at the infancy.
Two weeks I waited until she went for work.I took the baby for a DNA test.I paid Ksh25,000 for the process. The result that came out killed my desire for women.I was told the baby is 1% mine, which means his father is elsewhere. After the process,I made sure I befriended one of her workmates, who I knew would give me the correct information. One lady by the name Florence, who is the secretary at the hospital sympathized with me when I told her my case. She became open and narrated to me.
To be honest, nurses at this hospital are food for doctors and other patients, especially your wife. If Tabitha is your wife, then you are feeding a cow for someone to milk it, she sleeps with anyone-don’t be surprised if you hear the father of your baby is our patient”, she told me
That evening, I waited for my wife at home. She came as usually, went to the bathroom, took a bath and went straight to watch the TV.I followed her to sitting room and ordered her out amid resistance from her.She finally moved out but left me with permanent scars. The incident made me not to trust any woman.I am single up to now.
