I seldom shed tears but when they come, they flow like floods. Today I managed to stumble on a conversation between a Kenyan man and a Kamiti prisoner.
The prisoner, identified as Wilson Mutuma, sent a random message requesting for help. Unlike the usual message from other Kamiti inmates who request for money, this particular prisoner requested for soap, tooth brush and toothpaste.He did not even mention money in the conversation but he begged the man to visit him in Kamiti on a Friday.
From the conversation, Mutuma looked disturbed and really wanted help. In fact, this is an isolated case, at least among those cases I have witnessed.
