I am currently working at Industrial Area as a secretary. I have been earning for Ksh17, 200 since 2014 which is not enough to feed my family.
Last year, I seriously wanted to quit my job,but I decided to inform my boss about my case.Jared,who is my immediate boss is always stubborn and stingy.This time he called me to his office and told me this, Toa Vitu nikupige kuni ndio Nikuongeze Mshahara.At first I thought he meant caning me and said ‘no,huwezinipiga kuni,mimi sio motto,heri niende”.
I stormed out of the office and went straight to my house. After few minutes,my boss called me and said ‘maybe you didn’t know what I meant.ukiniruhusu nitakuongezea hadi Ksh50,000”.After the call,I went to ask my friend what kupiga kuni means.That’s when I realized my boss wanted to sleep with me.
Since January,he has been sweet talking me,though he hadn’t reviewed my salary.It’s last week he told me he is giving me the last chance.Now I am wondering whether to accept or not.I understand there are no jobs out there and the salary is tempting.Your advice is highly appreciated.
