Deputy President William Ruto has agreed to meet Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka in a bid to see him join Jubilee. The two leaders had a length conversation on Saturday, a day after Raila joined the ruling party.
After the meeting, Kalonzo called for a join meeting among NASA Principals to deliberate on issues to do with Railaโs exit from the coalition. The three principals,namely;Kalonzo,Mudavadi and Wetangula all agreed that their communities wonโt be left out of the government, but they didnโt agree on the strategy to use to convince Jubilee that they would bring something to the government. In the meeting, both resolved to call for another meeting where Raila is present so as to seek information on what was contained in the arrangement between Raila and Uhuru.
Today NASA is expected to hold a meeting at Capitol Hill but we are informed Raila wonโt attend. The ODM leader has opted to skip the meeting after he realized the other NASA leaders wonโt give him breathing space.Itโs clear from Railaโs body language that he has moved on.
Kalonzo is expected to meet Ruto anytime today so as to beg for space in government.Earlier,the ruling party had tried to woo himย but the former Vice President was non-committal.Ruto was the man who desperately wanted Kalonzo in the government, he had set aside the Ministry of Foreign AffairsโฆKalonzo declined the offer.
