The year started on a low note for most bloggers in Kenya, which was as a result of Facebook new Algorithm. Some of the most popular blogs in Kenya found themselves being leapfrogged by less known blogs like Venas News.
The top 5 blogs have not changed much as Tuko, Standard, Nation and Star maintain the lead while Ghafla, which almost died in 2017, squeezes itself into the list of the top 10 blogs in the country.
From data obtained online, tuko, which is the most popular blog in Kenya lost a total of 1 million page views in each month. As at November 2017,the blog was receiving up to 3 million visitors per day; the numbers have dwindled and now stand at slightly less than 2 million per day.
Blogs which have gained massively include Ghafla, venasnews, standardmedia, businesstoday and citizentv.

Business Today is emerging as the best in terms of media related information. The blog generates high quality articles, which I also read on regular basis.
